Something teachers need parents to understand is that the students don't always act the same at school than as they do at home. They need to be taught respect and integrity everywhere they go, not just at home. Another thing, is that they shouldn't disrespect the teachers in front of any students including their own children. It is not right and it is setting a bad example to all of them that the students will carry on for the rest of their lives. Teachers aren't as mean as parents think.

"Parents as partners rather than persecutors" means to me that the student will be able to have a better opportunity in life. The student won't be given special treatment, but instead will be held to a higher standard making, him/her more successful in life. The teachers won't have to constantly be timid about what they do or constantly have parent teacher conferences, because the parent believes that their child is a perfect little angel and won't believe that they talk back. It not only benefits the teacher to become a better one, but the student to develop good morals. Don't know how to teach your kids good morals and need a little help?
