Why do students procrastinate?
Many people believe that they have to read every book and article on a subject before they start on their assignment. They believe if they don't have every bit of information or have it nice and neat for that assignment it's not worthy of being turned in. I have that problem of it possibly being inaccurate, so just in case I have to go back and look up on several sites to make sure that, that piece of work is correct. It takes me longer to accomplish that assignment, which takes me away from finishing other work on top of being busy with everything else.
On my projects I have to have a great presentation with bright colors or something that makes it unique to know that I will get a good grade on it and until I am able to come up with that idea I am set back. A good way to overcome this is to not wait till you have the perfect idea or go to several websites to make sure your information is correct. The best way to overcome this is to identify your goals. Find an easier route to go that will still be effective to your work, such as find a very reliable source for that one subject and to just start your assignment.

If I could change education, I would...
If I could change education, I would create more personalized classes for different personalities. Maybe a test or survey of some sort to be given out to help out students to improve their own personal abilities. Just, because art might be for someone, it doesn't mean it's for someone else. There are many different ways to teach and there are many different ways to interpret how we understand subjects. Therefore there should be certain ways on how things are taught and students should be put where they want to be to have the ability of knowing they are at least somewhat in control of what their doing. This is part of the reason why Germany has one of the most prestigious schools universally as shown in this article: German Education. Another thing I would change is letting children's ideas and creativity be shown more in elementary schools by not having them take so many pills for ADHD, but putting their "disorder" as some may call it to good use.Who knows, by not having them take so many they could create more imaginative things than the rest of us could have ever thought.

Children's ideas get pushed to the side many times and are not always heard, they start to learn one way of thinking by reading so many text books that show only one point of view. They should be shown more than just one way, so it will improve how they read, think, and write.
